Privacy notice

Last updated October 2026

This notice explains how [[REGISTERED COMPANY NAME]] (“Ellisons”, “we”) collects and uses personal data about people who visit this website, contact us, or whom we contact about our services. It doesn’t cover client data we process on behalf of brokers; that is covered by the data processing agreement we sign with each broker (see security and data).

Who we are

[[REGISTERED COMPANY NAME]], registered in England and Wales, company number [[COMPANY NUMBER]], registered office [[REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]]. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, number [[ICO NUMBER]]. Contact: [[EMAIL]].

What we collect and why

When you contact us or book a call: your name, email address, firm, and anything you tell us. We use it to reply, run the call and, if you go ahead, set up the service. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Business contacts we approach: we may email people at insurance broking firms about our services, using business contact details from public sources such as firm websites and the FCA register. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in promoting our services to businesses. Every email tells you how to opt out, and if you do, we keep your address only on a suppression list so we never contact you again.

Website visits: this website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider processes visitors’ IP addresses briefly to deliver the site and protect it from attack. The leakage estimate runs entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data for us under contract:

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s approved transfer contracts to protect it. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it. You can object at any time to us using your data for direct marketing, and we’ll stop. To use any of these rights, email [[EMAIL]].

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes

We’ll update this notice if how we use personal data changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last revised.
