Keep the small renewals your team doesn’t have time to chase.
Ellisons builds an AI renewal assistant for commercial insurance brokers. It drafts a reminder for every policy coming up for renewal, sorts the replies, and sends nothing until you approve it.
Founding pilot: free build, free for 60 days, three places.
- Hartley Joinery Ltd Commercial combined, renews in 19 days Reminder drafted
- Fenwick & Daughters Bakery Shop and contents, renews in 23 days Reminder drafted
- Mossley Dental Practice Surgery package, renews in 26 days Reminder drafted
- Calder Valley Plumbing Tradesman liability, renews in 27 days Reminder drafted
- Rowe Street Autos Motor trade, renews in 30 days Reminder drafted
The Founding Broker Pilot
We’re taking on three founding brokers. We build and run the renewal assistant for free, and you only start paying if it hits the target we agree with you at the start.
If it doesn’t hit the target, we switch it off and you’ve paid nothing.
Three founding places- The buildFree. Set up around your renewal export and your own email wording.
- First 60 daysFree, counted from go-live.
- After day 60£500 a month founding rate, only if the agreed target is hit.
- Also includedA list of lapsed clients worth contacting again, a Consumer Duty contact log of every message sent, and an AI use policy template for your firm.
- Your timeAbout 4 hours before go-live.
What the assistant does
Larger accounts get chased because someone owns them. Smaller policies often get one automated letter, or nothing. The assistant gives every renewal a proper follow-up.
- Works from your renewal listA regular export from the system you already use. Nothing about your broking system changes.
- Drafts a reminder for each renewalIn your firm’s wording, addressed to the right contact, timed to the renewal date.
- Puts every draft in an approval queueYou or your team read, edit and approve. Routine reminders can move to auto-send later, only if you choose.
- Sorts the replies“No changes”, questions, “we’re shopping around” and out-of-office replies are sorted so the ones that need a person reach one quickly.
- Logs every contactA dated record of what was sent, when, and who approved it.
Hi Mark,
Your commercial combined policy with us renews on 14 November. To get your renewal terms right, could you let us know if anything has changed in the last year, such as turnover, staff numbers, premises or the type of work you take on?
If everything is the same, just reply “no changes” and we’ll take it from there.
Kind regards,
Jo
From signing to go-live in three weeks
Nothing reaches a client until it has been tested on your real renewals and you’re happy with it.
- Week 1: Set-up
Kick-off call, your renewal export, your email templates and a signed data processing agreement. We record your current renewal numbers as the baseline.
- Week 2: Build
We import your renewals and set up drafting in your wording, the approval queue and reply sorting. You sign off the templates.
- Week 3: Shadow test
It runs on real renewals but sends nothing. We check at least 20 drafts with you and train your team.
- Weeks 4–5: Launch
Live from the end of week 3, once the go-live checklist is met. Every email is approved before it goes, with daily check-ins.
- Weeks 6–12: Running
Optional auto-send for routine reminders, and a check-in at day 30.
- Day 60: Review
We compare results with your baseline. Target hit: the £500 a month founding rate starts. Not hit: we stop and you pay nothing.
Your time before go-live: about 4 hours in total, spread across the three weeks.
Estimate your renewal leakage
Five numbers from your own book. The sums run in your browser and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
commission lost each year on 180 small policies that don’t renew
a year kept if 25% of those clients stayed
2,000 renewals × 50% small × 18% lost = 180 policies × £150 = £27,000. Kept: 25% of 180 = 45 policies, £6,750. Clients you keep usually renew again the following year, so the value builds over time.

Built for regulated firms
You’re trusting us with client contact details and your firm’s name on every email. Here’s how that’s handled. The full detail is on our security and data page.
Nothing goes out without approval
At launch, every email is approved by you or your team. Auto-send for routine reminders is optional and only switched on when you’re ready.
Your data, under contract
We sign a data processing agreement before we touch any client data, and we use only what the reminders need.
A record of every contact
Each message is logged with its date, wording and approver, so you can show how you contacted customers at renewal.
Who you’ll work with
I’m [[YOUR NAME]], founder of Ellisons. I build AI tools for commercial insurance brokers, starting with a job that’s easy to let slip when a team is busy: chasing the smaller renewals.
Ellisons is a new business, which is why the founding pilot is free. You get a working tool at no cost, and I get results I can stand behind. You’ll deal with me directly, from the kick-off call to the day-60 review.
Questions brokers ask
Do we need to change our broking system?
No. The assistant works from a regular export of your renewals, so your existing system stays exactly as it is.
Do the emails come from our own mailbox?
Yes. Reminders go from your firm’s mailbox, so clients see a name they already know. Access is set up in week 1 and you can remove it at any time.
What happens to our client data?
It’s used only to draft and track your renewal reminders, under a data processing agreement we sign before starting. When the work ends, it’s returned or deleted. See our security and data page for the detail.
What if it doesn’t work?
At the day-60 review we compare results with the baseline taken in week 1. If the target we agreed isn’t hit, we stop and you pay nothing.
Why is the pilot free?
We’re building our first results with brokers. In return we ask for honest feedback and, if it works, permission to share the results. We can anonymise them if you prefer.
What does the Leakage Check involve?
A 15-minute call. We go through your renewal numbers together and estimate what’s slipping away. A rough idea of your figures is all you need.
